The Preacher's Toolbox "Expansion Pack" Conversation: Preaching at Funerals

This one-hour class will be taught by Dr. O. Wesley Allen, Lois Craddock Perkins Professor of Homiletics at Perkins School of Theology, SMU, and Director of The Perkins Center for Preaching Excellence.

Preaching at a funeral is a holy task that provides preachers an opportunity to honor loved ones' grief while offering the hope of the gospel. Theological questions and doubts can surface after a death, making it necessary to deliver a substantive sermon that considers the unique context of each death. Dr. Wes Allen will teach concepts that will make this process easier for busy pastors.
